It was fun. It was work. It was good to know that in my dotage I can still climb ladders and swing that brush all day.
I am trading in mural walls for tiny gouache paintings for a while. While the humidity spreads its soggy wings over my house and garden for the summer, staying inside and painting would appear the more comfortable occupation....vs. pulling weeds and chasing the dog.
Besides, someone just told me that there were three copperhead snakes found on our block last week.
Peace.
The mural is wonderful! I am curious, what will be the use of this room? It looks like such a big job, but job well done! I'm proud to say I know you! You are a magician, an elf, a creator of other worlds and a heck of a painter! You have earned the right to paint small gouaches! Though they will be jewels as well! The snake in your mural was crawling up my portal about noon today. I'm sure he was looking for a cool place, we're having a heat wave, a Western Heat Wave!
ReplyDeleteWhat an enormous job. Well done. It looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Annell and Zappha. I'm not sure of the size of the room...but I know that the painted surface for the mural is exactly 864 sq ft including the two dormers....and the ceiling is at eight feet.
